2022 QB Draft Prospects

Quarterback is THE premium position in the NFL and football as a whole. Teams need to find a leader who can become the face of the franchise and rally his team around him. It's a key position in the fundamentals of building a roster.

Unfortunately, the 2022 NFL Draft class doesn't have any of those clear-cut, day one franchise quarterbacks. There are plenty of guys available with talent and upside, and a couple who should still be selected during the first round on Thursday night.

Here is a list of the quarterback prospects in this class and how I see them stacking up.

Tier 1: Likely First-Round

Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh

Malik Willis, Liberty

Tier 2: Borderline First/Second-Round

Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati

Matt Corral, Ole Miss

Sam Howell, North Carolina

Tier 3: Round 3

Bailey Zappe, Western Kentucky

Carson Strong, Nevada

Kaleb Eleby, Western Michigan

Tier 4: Late Round Sleepers/Future Backups

Skylar Thompson, Kansas State

EJ Perry, Brown

Dustin Crum, Kent State

Brock Purdy, Iowa State

Jack Coan, Notre Dame

Tier 5: Round 7/UDFA

Cole Kelley, SE Louisiana

Anthony Brown, Oregon

Zerrick Cooper, Jacksonville State

Aqeel Glass, Alabama A&M

Drew Plitt, Ball State

D'Eriq King, Miami

Chris Oladokun, South Dakota State
