Blake Anderson leaves Arkansas State for Utah State
After a successful run as head coach at Arkansas State, Blake Anderson has been hired as the new head coach of the Utah State Aggies. Anderson replaces Gary Andersen who was fired mid-season.
Blake Anderson has been a rising young head coach for many years now and has been constantly mentioned for Power 5 openings. In seven seasons with the Red Wolves, he went 51-37 and won two Sun Belt championships. He has pulled off some great upsets and has developed NFL talent, including WRs Dahu Green and Jonathan Adams this year.
But it's not just the performance on the field that makes Anderson such a sough after name; it's who he is as a person. By all accounts, he is a guy who the players love to play for. Arkansas State became more of a family under his watch, which was never more evident than the support they showed him when he tragically lost his wife to breast cancer.
He's a guy who is extremely easy to root for and should be successful wherever he goes. Utah State snagged a good one.
