  • The NFL has announced a "new format" for the 2021 Scouting Combine.

  • Buccaneers DT Vita Vea has been designated to return from IR

  • No official announcement has been made, but reports surfaced during the divisional round that Saints QB Drew Brees will be retiring. It was later clarified that, for now, he is "thinking about his future."

  • After almost becoming defensive coordinator for LSU, Ryan Nielsen will remain defensive line coach for the Saints and add assistant head coach to his title.

  • After drawing interest from several NFL teams, Iowa State's Matt Campbell and Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald appear to be staying put. Fitzgerald has signed an extension through 2030.

  • Players have been declaring for the NFL Draft

  • Alabama defeated Ohio State for the national title

  • Notre Dame has hired Cincinnati defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman as its new defensive coordinator. Michigan State safeties coach Mike Tressel will replace Freeman.

  • Ohio State got big news as WR Chris Olave, DT Haskell Garrett, and TE Jeremy Ruckert all announced they would return for 2021. Several other Buckeyes were among those to declare for the draft

  • Michigan has named Ravens linebackers coach Mike Macdonald and Cowboys defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist as co-defensive coordinators.

  • Ex-Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone is joining Alabama's staff as offensive line coach.

  • Tennessee has fired head coach Jeremy Pruitt after a recruiting scandal surfaced. He is being replaced by UCF's Josh Heupel.

  • Texas has hired Steve Sarkisian as its next head coach.

  • Northwestern has landed another transfer QB

  • Mac Jones was named the winner of the Manning Award for the nation's top QB.

  • SMU has hired Jim Leavitt as defensive coordinator.
