NFL Draft Declarations: Utah State star QB

It was reported yesterday that Utah State star junior quarterback Jordan Love is declaring for the 2020 NFL draft. At 6’4″, 225 lbs, Love has prototypical NFL size for the position.

In 2018, love had a breakout sophomore season, leading the Aggies to an 11-2 record while throwing for 3567 yards with 32 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions. Their only losses that season were to Michigan State and Boise State.

This season was a bit of a down year. Under a new coach , Love didn’t put up similar numbers, and the team stumbled to 7-5. Despite that, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr currently has Love as his 7th best quarterback in 2020, and he is in many analysts top 5 at the position from what I’ve seen. He is also a top 50 overall prospect.

Love is expected to play in the team’s bowl game. The Aggies take on Kent State in the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl on December 20 on ESPN.
