Pair of Michigan State players granted 6th year of eligibility
The NCAA ruled on two Michigan State players’ applications for eligibilty waivers on Thursday. Punter Jake Hartbarger and receiver Brandon Sowards have each been granted a 6th year of eligibility. Hartbarger suffered a torn ACL last September against Arizona State, as part of what turned out to be an injury-cursed position. Sowards has also battled injuries throughout his career. He adds depth as a slot receiver and returner.
