Patriots trade for offensive tackle

The New England Patriots made a move to bolster their offensive line, trading for veteran Trent Brown from the Las Vegas Raiders. The Pats are sending a 2022 5th round pick to Vegas for Brown and a 2022 7th round pick.

As part of the deal, Brown has agreed to a restructured one-year deal worth $11 million.

The 27 year old was a 7th round selection by the San Francisco 49ers in 2015. He started 28 games in three years with San Francisco before being traded to New England in April 2018. Brown signed a four year, $66 million deal with Vegas as a free agent in 2019 but spent most of his time with the Raiders on injured reserve.

Brown was a Pro Bowler in 2019 and a return to form could really help New England and give it some flexibility on the offensive line.
