Thursday Night Football Week 11

For the second straight week, the Thursday night game features a battle for first place in a division. The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks are part of a three-way tie at the top of the NFC West and will meet for the second--and final-- time of the 2020 regular season.

The Cardinals own the tiebreaker over the Rams and Seahawks, thanks to an undefeated record against the division so far this season. In their last meeting, Arizona mounted a second half comeback to force overtime, then won the game with a field goal. Kyler Murray threw for 360 yards on a struggling Seattle secondary. I'd expect Seattle to concentrate more on stopping the passing game, but still expect a good game from the Cardinals' receiving corps.

While Seattle has struggled on defense, its offense has been full-throttle most of the season. They have struggled to get started in recent weeks, and Arizona could make it difficult again. Russell Wilson threw for nearly 400 yards the last time these teams met, but he did throw three interceptions. The good news for the Seahawks is WR Tyler Lockett will be playing despite injury. In the previous meeting, Lockett caught 15 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns. The bad news? The running game will have to get by without Chris Carson.

This game figures to be an offensive shootout again. Both teams have very capable offenses, and Arizona has a slightly better defense at this point. Will Seattle get revenge or will Arizona further cement itself in first place? The game kicks off at 8:20 pm ET on the NFL Network and Fox.
