Thursday night football Week 15
This Thursday's game features AFC West rivals as the Los Angeles Chargers (4-9) visit the Las Vegas Raiders (7-6).
The Raiders had a disappointing showing against the Colts, which led to the firing of defensive coordinator Paul Guenther. Nonetheless, Vegas is still just a game out of the final wild card spot in the AFC and has plenty to play for. The defense has been its biggest weakness this season, and will have a tough matchup against Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen.
The Chargers are out of the playoff hunt, and questions are swirling about head coach Anthony Lynn's job status. After making the playoffs just two years ago, the Chargers have regressed exponentially. They have promising offensive players but have been underachieving on defense. This game will be difficult for that defense, but they do get a bit of a break as WR Henry Ruggs will be out for Vegas.
This game will likely be a shootout, given the fact that neither defense has been very good. Both teams have good quarterbacks that make things challenging on opposing defenses and receivers that can make plays. I have my doubts about their abilities to run the ball in this game, but it should be a good game regardless.
The game airs at 8:20 PM ET on Fox and the NFL Network and can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
